Account Manager

Department: Sales - New Business Development
Location: Evanston, IL

Account Manager Job Overview: As a Brella Account Manager, you will take charge of valued, longstanding Brella accounts and keep them humming like well-oiled machines. As you manage each account, you will develop and leverage your knowledge of our clients’ needs with the Brella team’s expertise in digital strategy and production (Video, Design, Events, and Programming) to help them make decisions toward continued success. Key to this role will be a passion for client service excellence, continuous improvement and the ability to provide our clients with innovative solutions that align with their goals and objectives. Our ideal applicant will have knowledge and experience either working within or supporting Healthcare client or working within or supporting corporate training department or educational publishing companies. They should also have some background in the Digital Agency or Production industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Become an expert on Brella Services, who we are and why we’re the best for our clients.
  •  Learn the ins and outs of Brella clients, their projects and their needs.
  •  Serve as strategic advisor, utilizing your extensive knowledge of industry best practices to ensure your clients’ success.
  •  Sell and manage client revenue and shepherd new opportunities through the system.
  •  Effectively and confidently present business reviews, opportunities, proposals, analyses and other key information to client teams and management.
  •  Monitor client’s project performance and provide insights to client and internal teams to help drive decision making.
  •  Develop sustainable business relationships of reliability and support with your clients, acting as an internal advocate.
  •  Grow profitability of client relationship with an eye towards the long-term connection
  •  Effectively communicate with both the client and internal project teams
  •  Present cost estimates, digital strategies, creative, and digital experiences to client teams
  •  Anticipate future client needs and project risks
  •  Review all client deliverables to ensure reliability, accuracy and quality standards are met and exceeded
  •  Collaborate with team leads on estimating, timelines and project risks
  •  Facilitate ongoing client communication, including regularly scheduled meetings and calls, providing exceptional follow up
  •  Shift account priorities based on client needs and expectations
  •  Travel 10-15% of the time to meet clients on site and at professional functions.
  •  Contribute to the overall Brella culture and ethos.

Skills / Qualifications:

  •  A completed Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
  •  Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Account Manager, Client Service Manager, or Client Relationship Specialist.
  •  Experience working at a digital agency, software development, learning development or production company as an account manager, project manager or digital strategist
  •  Understanding of the digital production process
  •  Expertise making strategic decisions based on data including site metrics.
  •  One of the two following:
    • 2+ years’ experience working within a Pharmaceutical or Medical Device company in one of the following departments - marketing, in-house agency, training or product management; or at agency supporting Healthcare clients.
    • 2+ years’ experience working within a learning development company, training department or educational publishing company
  •  The ability to reproduce a catalogue of solutions for client needs
  •  Proven success developing and maintaining superior client relationships, delivering results, and anticipating roadblocks
  •  Must thrive in a fast paced, project driven environment
  •  Excellent organizational and task switching skills, nothing slips by you unnoticed.
  •  Exceptional communications and problem analysis skills
