Audio/ Video Technical Director - On Client Site

AUDIO/VIDEO TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

Brella Productions is seeking a Audio/Video Technician to work directly on our client's site in Lake County, IL.  The Audio/ Video Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of small to large-scale audiovisual systems for live meetings while ensuring the utmost in client satisfaction.This position reports to the Senior Technical Director.


Key Job Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

  • Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section. Hands on experience operating audio, video, projection and lighting equipment is required.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
  • Complies with all company security and safety measures.
  • Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
  • Is capable of producing room drawings using CAD software.

Customer Service

  • Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Prepares cost estimates and develops production schedule and secures third party estimates when needed.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
  • Collaborates with internal team on event solutions pre-event and during event to ensure the best possible customer satisfaction.
  • Understands and fosters the internal client relationship.

Event Supervision

  • Performs advanced work (pre/during/post event) with operations team members.
  • Supervises and directs other technicians during an event.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Assists team with proper security, storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs inventory and forecasting of equipment needs.

Education/Experience: An associate's degree or its equivalent is required. Degree in Technical Theatre, or similar degree desirable but not mandatory. Experience in Extron, Crestron, AMX, audio and video conferencing, projection and display systems a PLUS. 5+ years experience in the staging and production of corporate meetings is a MUST.
