Senior Graphic Designer- On client site

Department: Brella North
Location: Lake County , IL


Applies knowledge of current graphic design and digital software and production techniques to design and supervise creation of a variety of graphic imagery, animations, web applications, and multimedia-rich content. Researches, designs, and edits graphics, photographs and other visual elements for use in all areas of production. This position will focus both on short and longer digital and traditional graphic projects where the parameters are in early stages of definition and need both conceptual and production interaction with both the Creative Director and all design departmental staff.



  •  Work with client account managers, project managers, creative directors and end brand team clients to translate script content and design concepts into graphics for a variety of digital and traditional applications.
  •  Able to work in both highly conceptual and advanced production environments simultaneously.
  •  Originates multiple concepts and design comps for client presentation(s) and generates finished artwork as a hands-on designer.
  •  Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  •  Advanced knowledge of design, functionality and execution for print, motion, web, mobile and multimedia.
  •  Uses knowledge to communicate project design scope and delivery with designers and programmers.
  •  May Lead a working team of graphic designers (levels I, and II) and interactive designers, and is directly responsible for the team's design and interdepartmental collaboration.
  •  Consults with directors and project coordinators to complete timely budgeted scope of work.
  •  Works with internal and outside (freelance) project designers, illustrators, web and motion designers and print vendors for design quality control, timeline adherence and delivery.
  •  Ability to work with and present to clients and constituents both as a presenter and facilitator.
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage staff in a tight deadline environment.
  •  Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  •  Advanced project management skills and proven success leading the design team in selected stages of timelines and assignments.
  •  Successful client interactions for presentation of ideas and feedback for revisions.
  • Ability to combine print, web, motion and multimedia into a consistent, integrated campaign.
  • Works on projects that respond to client's branding needs under new project requirements.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to present and explain ideas to colleagues and peers.
  • Possesses solid time management skills for project production.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in graphic design functionality and execution as a career path for areas such as print, motion, web, mobile and multimedia.
  • Assists, collaborates or originates the design of graphics for client presentation(s) and generates finished artwork as a hands-on production designer.
  • Experience and ability to understand and work within a corporate branding structure.
  • Designs and works on projects that respond to client's branding needs under new project requirements.
  • Ability to present and explain ideas to colleagues and peers.
  • Contributes to multiple projects simultaneously and meets strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Responsible for building, managing and maintaining project files for assignments.
  • Possesses excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Motivated to excel in a team environment.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and design techniques.



  •  May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 8-10 years of experience in the field or related area.
  •  Advanced familiarity with standard and advanced practices and procedures within the graphic design field.
  •  Extremely detail oriented with proven time management and multitasking skills.
  •  Proven track record of design and typography creation and application as it applies to print, web, motion and video.
  •  Advanced knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word)
  •  Strong computer experience required on both Mac and PC platforms.
